One day I was bored. I was scrolling my tiktok feed when my favourite Tiktok creator rocked up onto my screen - Hank Green. Hank had a great story to share, one that would stick with me for weeks and weeks.
"If you want to become a ghost, you have to die in a cup, and here is how"
I couldn't get it out of my mind. It was so dumb, and yet so brilliant.
A few weeks later I had a free afternoon, and with no real desire to work on anything important, I decided to spend a few hours making an animation to the sound of Hank Green's voice.
I used Blender 3D, as is tradition for me, to go with a simple style that had an effect applied to give a sort of 'hand drawn digital' animation feel. There was a bit of a learning curve as I had to re-learn certain techniques, tools and systems that I was a bit rusty with.
In the end, the video made it's way to Tiktok. To my delight, Hank Green himself saw the video and reposted it! Resulting in 30k views and 150k likes, I was over the moon.
